We add the percent of figure on both sides, then divide by 2 to get the percent of figure.
Example: 70% on one side 30% on the other side = 100% DIVIDED by 2 = 50%.
NOTE: We do not count area of checkering or the pistol grip of the buttstock. In most cases there will not be any figure in it.
